We’re working with a well-established specialist HGV hire company looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join their team in Slade Heath, Wolverhampton.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 16:30
- 45 hours per week
Salary and Compensation
- Basic salary: £48,000 to £50,000 per year
- Overtime paid at 1.5x the hourly rate
This schedule and compensation structure ensure a standard full-time workweek with additional earning potential through overtime.

This is an ideal environment for a motivated Mobile HGV Technician looking to develop their skills further.
HGV Technician – The Role Will Involve
- Working on a range of Commercial Vehicles including 4x4s, tippers, tipper grabs and hot boxes
- Vehicles ranging from 2.5 to 32 tonne GVM
- Vehicle diagnostics
- Inspections and servicing
- Repair of vehicle defects
- MOT preparation
- Preventative maintenance
The Successful HGV Technician Must Hold
- HGV / Commercial Vehicle Mechanical qualifications equivalent to NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds / Full Main Dealership Apprenticeship
- Full current UK driving licence
- A Class 2 HGV licence or Class 1 desirable but not essential); however, candidates without this may be supported in obtaining the Class 2 HGV, subject to company agreement and conditions
