Manufacturing Manager
Location: New Addington, Croydon
Salary: Up to £56,000 per year

Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Inception Pro are recruiting for an experienced Manufacturing Manager to join a well-established specialist manufacturing and engineering business in Croydon.
The business designs and manufactures detector products for UK and international customers across high-reliability sectors, supporting energy, medical and security applications.
The Role
You will lead manufacturing operations, ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality production while delivering customer and business targets.
Working closely with Engineering, Planning, Supply Chain and Commercial teams, you will deliver the order book, improve operational efficiency and develop a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities

Lead, coach and develop production teams and Team Leaders.

Maintain high standards of health and safety, quality, housekeeping and plant ownership.

Deliver production, financial and on-time delivery targets.

Drive continuous improvement, waste reduction and process efficiencies.

Work with Engineering on product development and technical problem-solving.

Manage inventory and support supplier and contractor relationships.

Ensure equipment maintenance and calibration requirements are met.

Monitor manufacturing KPIs and support annual business objectives.
About You
You will have strong experience in a technical manufacturing environment, with a proven track record of delivering production and quality targets.
A degree, HND or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business or a related discipline is desirable.

This role is based on-site in Croydon, within the ULEZ.

Applicants must be able to commute reliably or relocate before starting.

Some travel to technical or company events may be required.

Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria for UK Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) screening.
