Mobile HGV Technician: The Opportunity
This is a home-based, field service role covering customer sites throughout the South East of England, reporting into the Sevenoaks depot. Mobile HGV Technician Candidates can be based anywhere with good access to the M25, M26 and A21 motorway network. The position is paid door-to-door, meaning technicians are paid from leaving home until returning home.
Working Hours
- 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Overtime paid at 1.5x
- 1-in-9 out-of-hours call-out rota with standby allowance and overtime for attended call-outs
Key Responsibilities for the Mobile HGV Technician
- Carry out servicing, maintenance and inspections of commercial vehicles.
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs.
- Attend breakdowns and roadside repairs.
- Work on tippers, tipper grabs, asphalt hotboxes and vehicles from 7.2 to 32-tonne GVM.
- Travel to customer sites using a fully equipped service van.
- Use the R2C workshop management system (training provided if required).
Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Class 2 HGV Licence (desirable)
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent HGV qualification
- Experience maintaining and repairing HGVs/commercial vehicles
