We are recruiting for a Production Manager, 4-day working week for an Aerospace manufacturer, Salary: Up to 45k dependent on experience.
You must have experienced in shop floor management and able to motivate and train our shop floor team. Experienced aerospace engineer who has set and run machinery inclusive of; sliding and fixed head CNCs machines, with Fanuc controls, lathes, drilling/tapping. They must be able to coordinate workload and job running, updating the load list, production working order. Role Duties can be seen on attached job description
To co-ordinate work to ensure that all parts are manufactured correctly in the most accurate, timely and efficient manner, whilst ensuring a trained and motivated team are working to all company procedures. To continually improve product output and quality in line with our Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Role Duties
The list below details the main tasks of this role:

Plan and delegate priorities on a daily basis as appropriate.

Manage sickness absence and attendance including authorise holiday requests and arrange any additional cover.

Ensure team members have sufficient training to fulfil their roles, to cover absent team members and manage flexible working demands.

Adhere to all documented Quality Procedures

Set and run machinery safely (inclusive of sliding and fixed head CNCs machines, with Fanuc controls, lathes, drilling/tapping)

Carry out first-off and job run inspection of machined parts

Co-ordinate and report on monthly production KPIs
-
Work closely with the Operations Manager and General Manager to ensure all parts are manufactured in a timely and efficient manner

Manage and action any machine maintenance

Accountable for Tooling Reps and ensure shop floor is well-equipped and support necessary tooling sales and orders.

Ensure all KPI targets are met in order to achieve profitability (On Time Deliveries, Arrears Management & Quality targets)

Comply with UFCs mission, values, quality systems and procedures.

To keep the General Manager informed and updated regular, especially if any critical problems arise.

Identify and offer suggestions to improve efficiencies within production.

Raise concerns regarding undesirable conditions within the organisation and propose potential solutions for improvement.

Assist the Factory Management team with reasonable ad-hoc requests
